Synopsis
Calaria was a world of extremes. On one side, a desert filled with scorched stone and cracked earth; on the other, an icy, star-studded sky bathing the land in perpetual night. Lastly, the Iko belt sat in between, in a land where the sun never set.
The nations of man inhabited all corners of Calaria. The extremes divided these people: hot and cold, strength and weakness, them and us.
Leshar and Mestarian. Two races on the Iko set against one another. The Leshar were small but clever, while the Mestarians were a proud and powerful people, subjugating the Leshar as second-class citizens — the Mestarians protected them against the harsh Calarian wilds, demanding that the Leshar offer fealty in return.
Everything changed when humans started harnessing Moment. It was a power unlike any other, and the extent of its uses was unknown. It was at the center of Calaria’s ecosystem, the planet's lifeblood. It enabled life to flourish at the extremes and the humans along with it. This potent magic was invisible to those not gifted, and many Mestarians weren't.
Moment kickstarted the Industrial Revolution in the nation Cabor, causing tension and strife as the Leshar elevated themselves with status and wealth. Everything that once was no longer was. The world was changing faster than peace could keep up with.
