A hungover clerk who wakes up with a werewolf in his motel room bed.  A streamer who runs afoul of a haunted house.   A graduate who gets a raw deal with a fledgeling witch.  A mobster in hiding who gives new meaning to 'the devil you know.'  A public defender investigating the demonic forces surrounding her client.  A mortician besieged by a horde of zombies...who won't stop cracking wise.   Six interconnected stories following the lives of the beleaguered working class citizens of Hosea County, Texas, set during the week of Halloween--when the spirits rise and the rent is due.  If the ghoulish horrors that await them in the shadows don't tear them apart, then their landlords surely will.
