A messenger of the gods discovers a cursed child. Wishing to cure it, they bring it before the gods, but instead, they are tasked with raising the child and are to turn it into an obedient servant. Unable to deny their commands, the messenger complies and the tale of family, obedience, betrayal, bloodloss, and war unfolds.
