In the town of Litang, an ordinary place as any other within the Gwich kingdom, situated at the south of which said kingdom and doing as a border is where Liu Teng resides.

Liu Teng is what most people would call a child with the exception of a few that would say "little man", he was the youngest son of his family, having an elder brother and sister, the Liu family was just a little noble family which appeared when 15 years ago, Liu Tingshan, grandfather of Liu Teng, repelled the army of the Shadow kingdom in the battle of Terrasore, because of his merits the king himself gave him an hereditary noble rank of baron and gave him as a feud this town.

However, as many could say, what is given easily is even easier to take it back, if you know what is the word that truly defines someone as "incompetent" then that is "envy", ten years after doing this meritory service in the military, a complot took away the life of Liu Tingshan, his death served as a reminder because of its severity, it all happened too fast, when Liu Tingshan was going to visit his family after they moved to the town of Litang he was ambushed with his escorts.

When the military arrived to the scene Liu Tingshan was still alive, however he had been mostly skinned alive and there were marks of multiple different tortures, and with his last strenght said "it seems that a bumpkin like me won´t soar the sky". Even after doing an investigation, the conclussion was that it was done by bandits, which dissatisfied most of the population.

This last sentence became quite common, as almost no one could say that they never had heard of it, but bad luck never comes alone, it's effect was almost instant, the noble families pressured the king so that he would take back the noble title of the Liu family, the king refused that with all his power, especially after thinking what a future would come if those with talent are forgotten after their death and their family suffers, however there was one point that he couldn't protect and that was "who administers the town", the nobles forced the king to give that feud to the Shi clan, which owns quite a good part of the south of the kingdom.

After the Shi clan took control of the city, the situation of the Liu family became harsher, they became servants of that clan and became and object of humilliation. However something changed two years ago when the eldest son of the Shi clan patriarch, Shi Dong, had a crush on Liu Hikari, he inmediately courted her and asked her to marry, but he got refused, he insisted on this matter for a year and a half but after receiving only refusals he got mad and decided to exterminate the Liu family and take her away.

One night, a group of soldiers from the Shi family under the leadership of Shi Mitsuki, little sister of Shi Dong and someone with... peculiar interests. Under her command she captured all the Liu family and this is where our story begins
