When she got the call to retrieve her godmother and former nanny from the hospital, Mel thought that this was the call she needed to abandon her career as a writer and artist and focus on something more "useful." She's surprised to find that Cass isn't quite the way she remembers her, even more so than one would expect. One day, Cass disappears, and in her place is a strange (and somewhat belligerent) little fairy--none other than the Dragonfly King himself. Considering the danger that Cass turns out to be in, Mel finds that she must enter the world of Wonderfell, the limbo over which the Dragonfly King presides, and help him piece together his own memories in order to shatter the illusion behind which he may have captured Cass.
