Cores; creatures designed by the system to filter mana, to remove impurities and corruption, to ensure that planets develop without being contaminated and suffocated under the very mana that they produce. Within their halls and their crystal hearts they filter out the intents and emotions suffused inside mana, purifying it until any being could use it safely. Without them tainted magic would curse and stifle the beings on a world, a dense miasma that would fill every nook and cranny until life ceases all together. Delvers bring them the very mana they filter, and are challenged and rewarded to better improve the cores and delvers alike, just one cog in the system's plans to uplift civilizations by providing the places they need to grow strong and with a solid foundation. So what happens when a core finds herself far from the home she expected? Lost within a facility built by an unknown race, with no hope of delvers who complete her mission, and drifting with nowhere to go and no one to turn to? Will she be able to find her way back? Or will she make a new home for herself and become something more? Hello!
