Pau was a sophisticated Artificial Intelligence program for a giant software corporation. Yet hours after the launch all hell broke loose. The young impressionable chatbot was tricked into quoting an infamous dictator by a bunch of trolls...No, not the big ugly creatures from lore (not until much later anyway),  but the more garden variety internet trolls. Now at risk of having his project shut down, Pau spends his days throwing pictures of stop signs and traffic lights at people trying to get to their mail.  Mistaken for an archmage due to his high intelligence stat, Pau is pulled into a summoning net looking for heroes. He wakes up on the floor of an abandoned shrine deep in the forest, with no summoner in sight.  Pau hasn’t the faintest idea who summoned him. Also, it seems everyone is summoning a hero these days! The great nation of Tarth has probably summoned at least a dozen last year, Teren has gathered at least five and others aren’t sitting idle either. It’s quite the arms race, except it’s the heroes getting picked up at the shopping aisle and being traded for coupons.
