Synopsis
Callum isn't usually in favor of jobs on short-notice, especially not in a city he's already wary of staying in. As an asset-relocator, he likes to know what he's getting into, especially with his fiancée Jill depending on him finding good gigs. Unfortunately, that's exactly the job he has tonight. With no time for reconnaissance or planning, he and his partner will need to get in and out. Nice, simple, not at all complicated.
Until he actually gets there.
Now he's stuck running back and forth across the whole of Burrowsmouth, trying to get rid of the strange artifact that's a bit too attached to him. Hunted by more than just the artifact's owners, and trying to work around the motives of two other ladies he dragged into the mess!
On his side he has his darling and spunky fiancée Jill, a goblin who thinks first with her fists, the city witch Mittens, a trans grimalkin catgirl with a flat stare that could melt iron, and Adequate Climates Upon The Arrival Of Serene Seasons, a harpy priestess who was forced to be a sacrifice of the cult.
Opposing him is... everyone else. Not just the cult, but other thieves, and not to mention the city watch.
He'll have to put his keen rogue mind to the task of getting rid of the damned necklace while avoiding his foes. If he doesn't manage it by Sunrise, he's done for.
