Wang Zen could feel his hairs standing on end as Ding Wu’s body crackled with electricity. He knew what would happen next.
He suddenly charged for Ding Wu, but he would often stop, do a barrel roll, or summersault or run in a random direction.
Ding Wu threw darts of electricity. He would get Wang Zen, which slowed his movement down but then start moving haphazardly again.
“Has Brother Wang Zen gone retarded, Papa?” Yin said.
“Yeah, watching him is making me dizzy!” Yin’s female twin said.
Their father simply kept quiet and watched.
Jun Nee also watched in confusion. “What is he doing?”
“What was that?” Ling said.
“Why is he doing all… that?” Jun Nee said.
“He is applying a genius strategy.”
“What strategy? His getting hit by the lightning darts.””
Ling smiled. “You’re only focussing on the darts that hit him but how many have missed.”
Jun Nee frowned in confusion and looked at the battle again. She saw that quite a lot of darts missed Zen. “They are mostly missing him!”
She smiled. “It’s hard to dodge lightning techniques. So Zen is making his movements random to make it harder to aim at him, while also closing the gap between him and Ding Wu.”
Zen rolled and tumbled, dodging multiple darts, while quickly closing the gap.
Ding Wu stopped throwing darts. He raised his arms high, gathering energy.
Zen took the opportunity to rush forward at him…
“Electric Circuit!” Ding Wu shouted before slamming his hands onto the ground. Electricity explodes from around him and spreads out.
Zen jumped back to dodge the expanding electricity.
“So, he is using that move.” Ling said.

Jun Nee looked at the older woman in confusion. “Ma’am, what is that move?”
“Electric Circuit,” she said. “It is a move from the City Lord Archives… our archives. I gave Ding Wu the scroll for the technique as a gift after I promoted him to the Captain of Guard. It’s a defensive technique that created a field of electricity around the user. Whoever enters it, gets shocked.”
“That’s bad!” Jun Nee said. “How is Zen going to win if he can’t even approach him?”
“My boy has a few tricks under his sleeves.”
As if he had heard his mother, Zen activated Moon Aura. His ki erupted from him and swirled around his body, forming a protective aura. Zen then shouted as he charged into the Electric Circuit. Some electricity bypassed his Moon Aura and shocked him but he ignored the pain as he and Ding Wu clashed.
Zen tried to pressure Ding Wu, slowly pushing him out of the Electric Circuit.
Ding Wu noticed that he was fast approaching the edge of his Electric Circuit. He dashed back, coming dangerously close to the edge. Clenching his fist, Ding Wu gathered more electricity in his fist, creating it from within and drawing it in from Electric Circuit.
“Thunder Fist!” Ding Wu shouted as he dashed forward, his fist shing and crackling with electricity.
Zen charged while shouting.
When they were almost about to meet, Zen jumped up, Moon Aura carrying him higher. Once Ding Wu had passed him below, he changed the Moon Aura to Dashing Tackle. He slammed into Ding Wu’s back and the man was sent hurtling away.
With the protection of Moon Aura, the Electric Circuit shocked him. Zen gritted his teeth through the pain and got to his feet. He summoned another Moon Aura to dispel most of the electricity. He then got an idea. Spreading his arms on either side, he spread out Moon Aura, focussing on speeding up the rotation as well as the size.
Even though some shocked him, most was dissipating before his extending sphere. Zen shouted, pouring most of his ki into the Moon Aura, then there was an explosion of ki and electricity.
Zen’s every muscle burned from exhaustion. He slowly got his feet. Before him, Ding Wu still stood strong, glowing with power and electricity crackling around him.
“Let’s end this.” Ding Wu said.
Zen said nodded and took a fighting stance.
Ding Wu frowned. “Come on, don’t tell me this fight will end without me even seeing your elemental power.”
Zen nodded. “Okay, I’ll show you then.” He began focussing. His hair and clothes began to flutter as air erupted from all around him.
Jun Nee could hear Ling sniffling. She looked at her in worry as the woman was silently crying. “M-Ma’am.”
“I’m so proud of my boy.” She said.
Zen could feel an ache as he gathered the elemental power. The ache grew into pain the more power he drew from the cavern in his diantian where his Elemental Energy was stored. He gathered the energy in his hand, the wind swirling. Zen could taste iron in his mouth as the pain worsened but he ignored it.
Ding Wu also gathered electricity about him. He began pulling back his arm, as if he was notching an arrow in a bow. A cross made light and electricity began appearing, the vertical part being a bow and the vertical the arrow, with a sharp end.
Zen charged forward and thrust his arm forward, sending out a stream of air.
“Lightning Arrow Bolt!” Ding Wu said, letting the arrow loose.
The arrow sped forward at great speed. It slammed into the stream of air. The air glowed white before exploding into a hundred strings of light.
Zen was no longer where he had stood.
Ding Wu looked up in time to see Zen heading towards him. “Meteor Kick!” he shouted.
Ding Wu slammed redirected the electricity, the vertical part, into a stream of electricity that he directed towards Zen. Zen gritted his teeth and electricity coursed through but he maintained the technique and kept moving towards Ding Wu.
His kick slammed into Ding Wu but the electricity also made him lose consciousness. Both combatants fell onto their back, unconscious…
