Chapter 204: Jao Cong vs Lang

Jao Fuu dodged a punch. “Blitz punch!” she delivered 80 punches to her opponents abdomen.

He stumbled back, blood coming from his mouth. He gathered ki in his fist and she did the same at her foot. He charged forward and she threw an arcing kick, sending out and arc of white energy that pushed her back as the energy sped forward.

The boy was hit by the energy and was blasted back and out of the ring where she landed with a thud on the outside. And with that, the man was eliminated.

Jao Fuu raised her hand in victory before leaving the ring. They went to the fighters area where Jao Cong and Wang Zen were waiting for her.

“Good work sister!” Jao Cong congratulated.

“What was that move?” Zen said.

“You don’t know?” she smiled playfully. “It’s called, Sweeping Scythe. Your mother should know it.” She winked.

Zen looked in confusion.

“My match is next.” Jao Cong said. “Wish me luck.”

“Good luck and… be careful, Bro.” she said.

“I will.” He said, jogging to the ring.

Cong stood side by side with his opponent. The boy was much taller than Jao Cong.

“Do you know who this is?”

“Yes,” she said. “That’s Lang in A Class. He is a talented commoner of our year, probably second only to Chen Jian.”

“Oh, that Lang. Never seen him in action but Jao Fuu should still be okay. He has trained hard.”

Jao Fuu stood next to his opponent. Her clasped his hands together.

“Let’s have a good match.”

The man looked at Jao Fuu in contempt before looking away. They both walked out to the ring and faced each other.

They bowed and the commentator began the match.

Lang dashed forward and punched Cong in the efface before he could react. Conf recovered, blood coming out of his nose and his eyes being blinded in tears.

“Cong’er!” Fuu shouted in worry.

“Come on, Cong, move around.” Zen said under his breath.

Cong jumped around in hopes of staying away from Lang while he recovered. When he could see, he saw Lang was standing still. He had not pressed his advantage.

“Oh, thank you for waiting for me to recover.” He said.

“No problem.” Lang said. “I don’t want to beat you while you’re blinded. When I beat you, when I pummel your face into the ground, I want everyone to know it was because you were fully healthy.”

Lang strolled forward. Jao Fuu took a ready stance, his eyes taking in Lang’s leisurely stroll. Lang then shot forward, ki gathered around his knee.

“Smashing Knee!” He said as her flew forward.

Cong dashed back, dodging the knee as Lan sailed over his head. Cong delivered a high kick to take advantage of Lang’s miss. Lang was able to recover in time and grab Cong’s foot. Using his falling weight, he slammed his fist into Cong’s face and onto the ground, breaking his nose fully.

He grabbed Cong’s head and lifted him off the ground using it. “Come now. Don’t tell me this is all nobles have to offer!” Lang said, loud enough for everyone to hear.

Fuu gritted her teeth.

Cong hit Lang’s hand, freeing his body. He followed up with a kick to his belly, sending him stumbling back.

“So the noble mutt still has some fight in him.” Lang smirked. “Good, it will make the beating I give you even better.”

Lang charged. Cong tried to punch him but Lang dodged and punched the boy in his face. Cong stumbled and tried again but the result was the same with Lang dodging and Cong eating a fist. This happened a few times, with Cong’s punches getting sloppier with each hit he took.

“He’s toying with him.” Denag Ai said from up the stands.

“How awful!” Xue Shaonu said.

Eventually they stopped, Cong was standing on spaghetti legs, his eyes drooping as he looked at Lang.

Lang spat in disgust. “Pathetic Noble.” He leapt forward, gathering his ki. “Smashing Knee!”

That seemed to snap Cong out of his daze and he gathered his ki in his hands, hardening them to the max and giving himself all the strength he would need. He met Lang’s attack head on, stopping it with his hands and with a grunt, pushed him away.

“He’s still in it!” Zen said.

“Cong’er…” Fuu said in worry.

Lang’s laughter pierced the air. “Well done, you stopped my attack! But I wonder how well yuou will do when I use 50% of my power!”

Lang leapt forward. “Smashing Knee!” A bigger amount of ki surrounded him as he sped forward.

“No!” Cong shouted in defiance as he gathered his strength once again. He blocked the attack with his hands and felt his bones strain before his wrists snapped and his shoulders dislocated.

Cong screamed in pain as he was sent flying back, where he rolled along the ground.

“Cong’er!” Fuu rushed out to the arena.

A referee blocked her, grabbing her by the scruff of the neck before she could step onto the stage. “Outside interference is prohibited!”

“But my brother!” she cried as she saw Lang walk towards her brother’s twitching body.

Lang stepped on Cong’s cheek with his foot, while his blank semi-conscious stare looked out, not even registering his sister who was directly in his line of sight.

Zen ran out after his cousin. “Jao Fuu, calm down! Ref, you need to count him out!”

The referee nodded before letting go of Fuu. It took all her willpower to not charge into the ring.

“I cannot count with him touching his opponent.” The referee said.

“Get your foot off him!” Fuu spat.

Lang smirked. “But of course.” He slowly lifted his foot off Cong’s face before quickly and visciously slamming it down, causing dust to lift from the ring and blood to splatter out of Cong’s nose and mouth.

Fuu’s eyes grew wider with fury and a killing intent rose from her. “I’ll kill you!” She charged into the ring.

Two more officials ran into the ring and grabbed her, using water element techniques to hold her in place.

“I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you!” Fuu kept repeating, her mouth foaming with anger.

“Get your foot off him!” The official said.

Lang calmly and slowly lifted his foot off Cong and took a step away from the boy’s prone body.

The referee began counting as quickly as possible. During that time, Fuu stopped struggling and calmed down, her killing intent vanishing as it was replaced by worry for her brother.

The referee’s count was at 7.

“This is what I’ll do to any noble who stands in my way!” Lang suddenly shouted before lifting Cong’s body off the ground with one leg. Then he performed Smashing knee but this time, at full power. The attack slammed against the boy and sent him flying outside the ring.

“Cong’er!” Fuu shouted, tears flowing from her eyes.

Luckily, Zen was there to catch Cong. The momentum sent him sliding back and toppling over but he cradled the boy safely in his arms.

“Match over, Lang wins!”

Fuu ran to his brother as Zen carried him in his arms.

“Quick, Zen, we need to get him to the medic!”

Zen nodded and they both rushed to the medic with Cong’s limp body in his arms.
