Chapter 1: Deception

Chapter 1: Deception

Qiang Yu, elegantly dressed in a short white evening dress, settled into the plush leather seats of the black luxury car. She couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement in the air as the vehicle glided smoothly through the bustling streets of Shanghai. Her husband, Tien Yu, had informed her about an exclusive party on the outskirts of the city, and she had dressed her best for the occasion.

Qiang Yu had been trying to call Tien Yu for the past few minutes to confirm the exact location of the party. The music playing softly in the car couldn't drown out the nagging feeling of uncertainty that crept into her mind. Her calls went unanswered, the phone displaying the dreaded "No Signal" icon.

She turned her attention to the passing scenery, but it soon became apparent that something was amiss. The surroundings grew increasingly unfamiliar, and the car was venturing further from the main road. Anxiety gnawed at her as she glanced at the driver, a stoic man with shades, and her unease deepened.

"What's going on?" Qiang Yu asked, her voice filled with a tinge of nervousness. "This isn't the way to the party. Where are we going?"

Silence hung in the air, and the driver remained impassive, refusing to acknowledge her. Panic bubbled within her, and she raised her voice. "I demand to know where we're heading! Tell me now!"

Two hulking bodyguards flanking her in the backseat reacted swiftly. One of them reached over, his massive hand clamping firmly over her mouth, muffling her protests. The other, with a cold and unfeeling expression, gripped her wrists with an iron grip, restraining her.

Qiang Yu's eyes widened in fear and desperation as she struggled against the bodyguards' unyielding strength. She kicked and thrashed in a futile attempt to break free, her heart pounding with terror. But the odds were against her, and before long, darkness overtook her vision.

As the world faded to black, the last thing she heard was the rhythmic sound of the rain pelting against the car's windows, a stark contrast to the turmoil that had enveloped her life.
