A slow-burn tale that follows the tale of an aberrant twist of magic that gains sentience upon the removal of  an unknown artefact from a ruin. Has themes similar to some "Dungeon Core" stories but also has mystery and political elements, as out the origin of our protagonist is investigated and they are slowly noticed by the wider world. Warnings: This will be a slow-burn and will not hesitate at times to hit hard, a story is at it's most gripping when you know that the writer is willing to kill off characters, factions or entire subplots suddenly and brutally as long as there is a clear and understandable in-story reason. While I do not intend to do this often it is an invaluable way to keep stakes real and defeats are the perfect springboard for very cathartic rebounds. Additionally the main character comes into the story as an new-born and  their ethics and morals will be shaped by their life which may lead to some non-ethical decisions despite not being an inherently villainous character This is my very first story here or anywhere and I have very little experience writing so all feedback is appreciated, I would love to know what you like or dislike in the comments
