Like a beauty that fell directly from the sun, 6-year-old Kimberly radiated. Her deep blue eyes, soft tender skin, long silky hair and deep dimples stood her out every time. Her deep blue eyes were beautiful when she was happy, but looked dangerous when she’s sad or angry. Augustus Theo, Kimberly’s father’s only brother, had taken an unusual likeness to the fair princess. He had nicknamed her so after a shocking revelation from a northern witch. Kimberly was having breakfast with her parents one morning when Augustus Theo came in bearing gifts. “Kim surely loves the gifts, I think it’s a little too much, don’t you think so?” Camilla, Kim’s Mum asked Augustus, alarmed at the numerous gifts. Augustus Theo casually slid into the dining chair next to Kim and stroked her long silky hair. “Of course not! Kim deserves more. A beauty like hers that shines brighter than the sun, needs not be taken lightly.” Kimberly’s father, James, frowned. “Augustus, you’re spoiling her. She needs discipline, not indulgence.” Augustus Theo’s smile faltered for a moment before he regained his composure. “I’m just showing my niece love, James. You’re too strict.” Camilla intervened, sensing tension. “Let’s not argue. Kim, say thank you to Uncle Augustus.” Kimberly obeyed, but her eyes widened as Augustus Theo announced, “Today, we’re going on a special adventure, just the two of us!” James and Camilla exchanged uneasy glances. “I don’t think that’s a good idea, Augustus,” James said firmly. Augustus Theo’s expression darkened. “I mean no harm, James. I promise to return her by evening.” Kimberly, sensing her parents’ unease, felt a shiver run down her spine. But Augustus Theo’s charming smile reassured her. As they drove away, Kimberly asked, “Uncle Augustus, where are we going?” Augustus Theo’s eyes gleamed with an unsettling intensity. “Somewhere special, my dear. Somewhere you’ll love.” Kimberly’s excitement began to wane as they left the city behind. The scenery changed from familiar buildings to dense forests. “Should I feel concerned that we’re driving far from home?” Kimberly asked, her voice trembling. Augustus Theo’s smile twisted. “Don’t worry, you'll  be fine.” But Kimberly’s instincts screamed otherwise.
