Synopsis
In a world that resembles the early 1900s, where gaslights illuminate cobblestone streets and factories pump steam into the air, Valerian Crow finds himself at a crossroads. An orphan from a poor family, he's struggled to make ends meet in the bustling city of Drakenheim, a place where opportunities seem as scarce as a clear sky.
Desperate for work, Valerian stumbles upon an unusual job posting: a research assistant for a reclusive nobleman named Lord Castiel. Intrigued by the promise of steady income, he accepts the offer without question. But as Valerian delves into his new role, he realizes that Lord Castiel's research is anything but ordinary—it's focused on tracking and understanding the city's hidden vampire society. As Valerian learns more about this dangerous underworld, he becomes entangled in a conflict that threatens to consume Drakenheim from within.
While Valerian ventures deeper into the city's shadows, he uncovers secrets that challenge his beliefs about good and evil, truth and deception. The deeper he goes, the more he must question whether he's willing to remain in this dangerous world, where vampires walk among humans and ancient pacts hold tenuous sway, or if he should return to his simpler, if less glamorous, life as a struggling orphan.
As Drakenheim edges toward chaos and darkness, Valerian is faced with a choice: embrace the risks and potential rewards of this new life, or step away from the shadows and return to a quieter existence.
