Synopsis
The Mantoid Crisis of 2023 brought humanity dangerously close to extinction. For two decades, these mechanical creatures, which resembled praying mantises, preyed on humans, enslaved them, and even crossed their genes to create Mati-Humans, or more precisely, HC-Type Mantoids. It would only take a few courageous humans to rebel, and rebel they did—during the Great Human Rebellion of 2035, people from all over the world banded together and developed exosuits to defend themselves against the Mantoid Empire. Throughout the course of the eight-year Great Human Rebellion, humans banded together in rage and drove the Mantoids all the way to South America, where the worst fighting took place and the conflict eventually became a frozen conflict. But it was anything but a frozen conflict. Because of the intense fighting, soldiers stationed throughout South America were always fighting for their lives. As a result, the toxic pollution chromatisol began to affect them, turning their hair white, and the combined toxic pollution hematoglow—the purple blood that leaked from the mantoids—started to affect them, turning their eyes completely purple. And because these soldiers did not resemble typical humans at all, they were called derogatory names like "Devil" and subjected to cruel treatment when they returned to their motherland or fatherland. The soldiers' governments then dubbed them the Chromherman-Humans and drove them, under the false pretence of going home, back to the front lines. However, these soldiers never made it back home and were made to die in a conflict that was declared to be over by governments everywhere.
