Synopsis
Artificial life, created at the hands of man in an attempt to mimic god. The very notion is blasphemous and forbidden, yet one man cannot stop in his pursuit... And his pursuits bear fruit. The first artificial human, homunculus, golem - whatever it may be known as - is born in the basement of scientist Arnold Abts, in the plateau of Kirnstraadt, in the kingdom of Kerdt. Caught in the rhythm of create-fail-bury, he throws it out, never to be seen again as his creation wanders the ever-expanding horizons of the world.
AUTHOR'S NOTE
This story is subject to heavy editing, probably until completion. The story will more than likely change as it is written. If you are the type of reader to continuously read a story and not give enough fucks about small irregularities, welcome! If not, welcome anyway!
This story takes place in a world not unlike ours during the late 18th - 19 century. Technology such as telescopes and electricity have already been invented but are not generally found in wide use. Instead, most people use candles and gas fires. The steam engine has been in use for a long time and don't be surprised to see bridges powered by HUGE motors. And just cause I want it. Fantasy, there, done and said and no going back.
