Chile Alkinlock takes on what seems to be a routine escort mission—guiding a caravan of scholars and merchants through the ancient, mysterious Greythorn Forest. But nothing in the forest is ever simple.  And then there’s Mira. A half-elf scholar passionate about magical creatures and ancient ruins, she is unlike anyone Chile has ever met. Banished from her homeland for her dark elven heritage, she sees the journey through Greythorn as her chance to reclaim what she’s lost.  But as danger closes in and visions of a lost elven city plague them, the pair must decide if they will face their future together—or allow the magic of the Greythorn Forest to tear them apart forever.
