Gabe's life is suddenly cut short in the form of a meteorite strike.  A very random and unfortunate occurance, to be sure, not at all influenced by some higher power.  Or was it?(add suspensfull music). Standard adventure in another world sorta thing. This is my first attempt at writing a story, feel free to point out mistakes in the comments.
