Synopsis

The year is 2297. Humanity has reached the stars to find the galaxy under the yoke of a cruel galactic order a thousand years in the making. This powerful but stagnant hegemony, also known as the Triarchy, is led by the three most influential races in the galaxy, the honorable and stoic but sadistic Russu, the weak yet conniving and cutthroat Vephrun, and the conservative, oppressive, and detached Hah'an. Feeling threatened by Humanity's rapid development, moral and ethical beliefs, and ideological goals, the Triarchy wages a brutal war on Humanity that lasts nearly a quarter of a century and brings the galaxy to its knees.  That was over a hundred years ago. Things have changed, and not for the better. The Humanity that persisted and thrived despite their optimistic and benevolent dreams have been quashed in favor of something far more twisted; a false belief that it is up to them and them alone to free the 'false sentients' of the galaxy of their burden. Something horrible happened to humanity, something that changed them from harbingers of light to the nightmarish boogeymen of the galaxy, and behind their masks lies a sinister plot gone wrong that might just drag the galaxy down along with it... The year is now 2445: The Galaxy is in turmoil, and humanity is at the forefront of it all. All hope for a brighter future is seemingly lost, but there are those still willing to fight on both sides for a variety of reasons. These are the stories of those people in these times: gang members battling for control in dystopian arcologies, bounty hunters traversing hundreds of lightyears to pursue their quarry, scheming heads of noble houses, and deluded secret police members rooting out degeneracy. This is all that's left, all that they'll allow you to see, all that remains. It is up to you to piece the past together, for they've already found me, and my time is almost up. But beware: this task is not for the faint of heart, and if you cannot stomach the contents of these archives, pass them off to someone who is more worthy. Godspeed to you, pilgrim.
