Worm meets Godzilla in this fresh and intense take on the Progression Fantasy genre.  U.B.E.R. Uncontrollable Biological Energy Reactors. Kaiju. They were outside the walls of Resilience City, while Zayne was inside the walls of the city. That's all she really cared about. The monsters were the Wardens' job to deal with. Wardens being the titanic, god-like superheroes the aliens gave us to finish their war fror them. A war that has now stalled for over a century. It was part of everyday life. Wardens fighting Ubers had become amusing distractions to the populace as society adapted to a perpetual seige of giant beasts. Zayne couldn't spare it a thought. Today was a very special day. She had a job interview, and she needed to succeed. She would succeed. 26 years old and still working in a kitchen? Blech. She desperately needed a career, not a job. This was going to be the most important interview of her life and her entire World depended on it going well... This story comes from a very dark, personal place and real trauma, mixed with one of the most positive aspects of my life, Godzilla movies and Tokusatsu shows. This is my thank you letter to those works that got me through some of the worst times of my life, along with the community they fostered. It was therapy to write this first part. I hope you enjoy it regardless if you love giant monster movies or not, if you are or aren't part of the LGBTQ+ community, or if you have never read a web serial before.
