Female crow is still alive. And I’m still bleeding from my stomach. Still it is much better compared to when I got pierced by the crow’s beak. Most of my digestive system is back and still healing.
On top of that my right arm is still hurting like hell. My arm is healing slower than my stomach. I think executing the second technique with my arm was pretty dangerous. I think I will take a while for my arm to heal completely.
Still this tires me out like crazy. But patriarch’s life force is somehow helping me to accelerate the healing. So, I think if I kill the female it will help me even further.
Even with all the bone in its body broken it is still looking at me with hatred. I think they really loved each other. But still law of the jungle right baby.
I come before it and just a I was about to crush its skull it lets out a screech. After getting startled I immediately crush its skull.
“It just called for others.”
Altrandil materializes next to and warns me. And suddenly it starts to get dark. As I looked up I see a swarm of crows circling me around.
Shit. So, I guess I will have to commit another genocide then. Female crow’s life force helped me tremendously with my healing. My stomach already stopped bleeding.
Just as my stomach finished healing crows starts to dive in. Bigger ones start to spit acid. But my wolves get in front of me and blocks it from touching me.
Luckily bigger crows seem to be only capable of spitting out poison not acid. Because whatever they spat didn’t do anything to my wolves.
And as soon as they get in range I take deepest breath I ever took and unleash my fire breath upon them. As they get caught in my fire breath they start to fall like flies.
Compared to the giant ones these ones are way too weak. While spitting fire I pump mana into my left arm and makes it burrow into the ground and expand beneath like I did with the bats. Since it worked like a magic last time no reason to hesitate.
I run out of breath after breathing fire for almost a minute then stop. As soon as I stop crows come down on me with wild abandon like giant ones. I think they don’t care about their lives anymore they only care about killing me.
While I prepare my next assault, my wolves handle the crows best as they can. But they energy reserve is almost emptied since fought the giant ones before. Even then they still manage to buy me enough time to at least prepare enough to protect myself from the crows.
As soon as my wolves dissipate I will my arm to branch out upward and pierce through the ground. As I give my command thorny branches starts to break out from beneath me and cover me.
And as I pump more mana into my arm, branches grow outward and skewering the crows. But still there are thousands of them. And I don’t have a mana crystal to supply me with enough mana.
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
My mana is already starting to run dry.
Since mana I left is not enough to kill them with my branch trap I decide to try something else. Something that’s been in my mind for a while now. Fireball.
First, I cast a fireball. Then after that I start to pump more mana into it. As I pump more mana into the fireball, it starts to enlarge and change color. And as it gets too big I compress it even more making it as small as my fist and continue to pump more mana into it. Its color change from orange to crimson then to blue and finally it turns black.
Don’t know why black but temperature it exudes is terrifying. As it finally turns black my mana reserve almost runs completely dry. With little bit mana I left, I cover my fireball and send it out of my branch trap.
Using my perception, I bring my fireball outside and sends it as high as I can. Apparently, my limit is only thirty meters above the ground.
Still can’t complain. After lifting it as high as I can I simply detonate it.
BOOOOOOOM!!!
With resounding boom my fireball detonates. And as it detonates it burns everything in hundred meters radius. As it burns even my branch trap starts to burn away. As it burns away, the heat starts to affect me. Only after few seconds the heat starts to burn me.
And it hurts like a hell. But as I burn my little tree starts to pump more vitality into my body to counter the burn.
My body getting regenerated right after getting burned is a very uncomfortable feeling. Still I clench my teeth and endure through the pain and heat.
Fire finally goes out after burning for almost five minutes.
I open my eyes only after I stop feeling the heat. And as I open my eyes the devastation my fireball caused is well frankly terrifying.
There is nothing but ashes around hundred meters radius. Not even a single animal in my sight. Well except small nine tailed fox standing in front of me with strange look on its face.
“What’s the matter Alt?”
“How on earth did you manage to cause this kind of devastation with your puny fireball?”
“What’s matter? Don’t tell me you are scared?”
“Of course not, you cretin. I’m simply surprised that weakling like you managed to cause this much destruction. That’s all. I can do it with a wave of my tail.”
“Wow, I’m humbled before your humility.”
“Good for you to know your place, you cretin.”
Tsk. At least tree recognized sarcasm. Stupid pipsqueak.
Still this was close one again. But I managed to commit my second genocide. And managed to survive.
“So, now that I’m free of pursuit, what am I supposed to do with your memento then?”
“Keep it with you for now and bring it to me when you decide to leave the forest through my territory.”
“Got it. Then let’s go home.”
Wait a minute, why would I call that tree space home. I think after all that happened during few years I got used to it.
But before going back I need to refill my mana vessel. If I encounter something on empty I will die. And that’s not on the agenda.
I sit down cross-legged and start to convert mana and store it in my brain cells.
While doing that let’s take a look at my stats.
