Eren is a young mage with trust issues. He longs to gain access to the famous library of Odin’s Eye and find out why his magic failed him when he needed it most. To do this, he’ll have to survive the infamous Trails of the Valkyrie, a series of tests designed to test a mage’s strength in combat and their minds with complex puzzles and traps. He ends up being paired with Lyra, a young lightning mage with something to hide. Eren doesn’t trust her, but if he’s going to have any chance of surviving the Trails, they will have to work together. Also taking the trials is Kena, a fire mage with an aggressive streak. Her recently deceased master told her to join to find herself. She is determined to find out what this means, even if it means risking her life.
