A thematically dark and overall morbid fantasy isekai story with an emphasis on karmic justice and revenge; along with elements of horror and the supernatural. I am not sure if I will ever fully be able to tick off the little Grimdark tag in the corner over there, but the setting of the story will have its fair share of violence and tragic backstories. That being said I do not wish to just make this a run-of-the-mill and angst-ridden romp through some ultra edgy world, so hopefully, I can have enough thematic twists, dark humor, and impactful character-building moments that I manage to catch some of your eyes.So, in lieu of a potential spoiler-ridden synopsis I will leave you all with just a prologue for the time being. This is my first submission to Royal Road and I may not have many updates to begin with, but as time goes on I hope to be heavily ensconced in writing this story for myself and all that show interest in it. I am ever open to criticism and realize that I may need to make a fair amount of amendments, so I look forward to even the negative feedback any of you may leave. (Being that it is criticism and not just blatant insult, though that can lead to its own insights as well.)So without further ado, I shall leave the prologue of my first published literary venture down below.
