I have the rap song “the wall” in my playlist, the one about someone having a defensive aggron that wrecks teams and it inspired me to write a fanfic of a dude getting stuck in the pokemon world. no this is not a steel type specialist. what to expect: slightly more gritty realism when it comes to Pokemon. They eat each-other and I will from time to time use the “lore” of Pokemon to craft a world wrought with danger and excitement. a changed typing and ability system. there will be exposition in the story to explain further. A re-imagining if you will.  the people: more upbeat and trustworthy then earth by a mile, however everyone is still recovering from the Kanto/Johto war. Trust is sparse. The scientists and religious people of the pokemon world have established that creating bonds with Pokemon helps people understand the importance of trust, teamwork, altruism and friendship. This has created a world that uses this trust as a currency as much as the pokedollarsthe people in this world that treat their Pokemon like shit are considered scum. Someone like the rival Paul a conspiracy theorist. The character has basic knowledge of pokemon he’s older (in a younger body of 18). He knows most of the OG 151 and a bit of the second ones but after that his knowledge is sketchy at best. to balance out his lack of knowledge he will have a “system” that shows him the stats, level, energy type of himself and his team. Basically a built in mini version of a pokedex for his team. yes people are basically a weird type of pokemon. The space lama is wise and his (her?) reasons, unfathomable.
