Erik Mallon is a drifting enchanter, wandering the the Rocky Mountains of a fractured United States with his Pixie companion Vexper. 11 Years ago the beacon appeared, creatures of myth started roaming the world and magic bared its fangs, 8 years ago Erik saved Vexper from an attack and helped nurse her back to health, 6 years ago they made a pact, then 4 years ago the only home he knew was raided by bandits and creatures from myth, unable to do anything Erik watched his mother die leaving him scarred down to the soul. Now Erik and Vexper finally found a place to settle, Tally Arizona, in the former Sitgreaves National Forest. With heavy hearts and worn souls they try to carve out a new life, escaping the horrors they've witnessed and lived through trying to form a new home and family they've lacked for so long.
