Synopsis: Nine-year-old Kael was sold into slavery as a result of his parents' debt and gambling losses, and he ended up in the worst possible region distant from home in the South. A place where wicked, evil individuals live and practice dark magic for their own malicious ends. What's worse, he must live in the town with other slaves and serve a master who is infamous for his cruelty and obssession for dark magic.   Years later, as he was sleeping, he was awoken by a nightmare. In this nightmare, he witnessed the end of the world, roaring flames, billowing tall smokes up into the clouds, tremendous shaking of the earth, an eerie, terrifying eclipse, and people yelling "chosen one"—their call for help—in the midst of all of this.   In order to prevent the demise of the world from occurring, he intended to leave this place after becoming convinced that it would. But the issue he wants answered is: Who is the chosen one, and for what reason has he dreamt of this?
