Synopsis
The world had gone to shit once the Shifting began.People grew so strong in a manner of weeks compared to the rest of us. We clawed and gouged and bit and killed for what we had, and they do a simple quest from the board and would then go on and beat us all silly, never truly dying when we did get the upper hand. Giant coiling, whip-thin wires reached high from the ground, touching the sky where no building before it had. Where the massive object had gently landed, grey goo desecrating the nearby lands that surrounded it. The many shards that blew off of it as it fell from the sky, gone, landing everywhere around the entire continent. Teenagers, early in their rebellious phase and traipsing through the forest floor, finding a single shard and earning the strength of veteran warriors honed by war. The elderly, coming upon a shard, gained knowledge of arcana never before seen. It was all a shitshow. My mother is dead, my father is gone. I am a Bandit.
Cover Art made using Midjourney (an absolute delight for prompts and setting the scenery whenever you get that itch in Theater of Mind you can't quite scratch! Highly recommend!)
Updates will be even slower than a snail's pace, but I am slowly making my way through it!
ROYALROAD is the ONLY PLACE I am uploading. Any others you might see on other sites are either cases of the multiverse invading into our own reality, or someone just straight-up copying my work.
I hope it's the former.
