After reaching the stars, the humans found themselves alone. But not for long. Discovering a myriad species on various systems throughout known space, the humans began the massive project of uplifting them so that a galactic society of  cooperative species might be born. Until one fateful day, they all dissapeared. Without the might and guidance of the humans, the burgeoing galactic society quickly devolved into warring factions. A century later, peace finally achieved, the newly formed Conglomerate of Allied Species has begun to put teams together in order to explore ruins left behind by the humans after their mysterious dissapearance, and find things probably better left unfound.
