Synopsis

Fate is a funny word. People love to play with its meaning and its applications. Some call it destiny, others call it inevitable, and a few tend to accompany it with worlds that give it direction. ‘Thread of Fate’ – ah, if fate were a thread, what would that mean? What happens when the thread is woven? What happens when it twists? What happens when it breaks? Well… who knows? Zehpyr's life was quite the journey, but it could never prepare him for that bizarre night. In one moment, he felt like he was dying, yet the next, a basket with a baby inside was placed before the orphanage door. Where did it come from? Who could have placed it there? There were so many questions but only a name for an answer. Apollyon. *** A few words from yours truly: (This is where I would list what you should expect, but that felt a bit lazy.) "So, Thread of Fate—what's it even about? The synopsis didn’t say anything!" The story follows Lyon (short for Apollyon). It's a progression-type story where we see him grow from his early years, so I won't explicitly define his character right now since you'll be witness his development firsthand. He's generally a nice guy, but if you push his buttons... let’s just say I wouldn’t want to be around him when that happens. You’ll like him, I promise. And before you ask—yes, he’s going to be 'overpowered' compared to the average person, but not so much that he one-shots his enemies. He has an unfair advantage compared to the rest but he will have to put his skills to the test, and even then, sometimes that won't be enough. But enough about Lyon. "What about the story itself?" It’s going to be a long one (relatively speaking, of course). The first volume will be the shortest, and as I progress in my writing career, they’ll get longer. You can think of the first volume as a giant prologue for what’s to come in Thread of Fate. At first, it might not be clear where I'm heading with it, but trust me, there’s a plan. The story is written in the first person, so you’ll often realize what’s happening just moments before it does. Be prepared! The release schedule is five chapters per week: Wednesday through Sunday. I’d like to increase that to daily releases, but there are too many variables to promise that right now. Lastly... um... its... its my first time writing a novel and there are bound to be a few mistakes here and there, so.... b-be gentle... 😳👉👈  Hopefully, I'll be seeing you in the comments. Have a fun read!
