As Blaire grows up, the memory of her deceased parents fades farther away. She develops insecurities due to all her previous foster parents but develops a thirst for books because of an unusual candidate who adopts her. This mysterious person who has a tremendous library in his house form an unbreakable bond formed from a simple mutual need for food. Though first impressions were misleading, she begins to trust and open up to him as she pieces together who he really is until she sees her very own reflection in the man even though their upbringing were in no way similar.
