Pyre has bad luck. The harsh facts of life seem to autapomorphies just to line up and kick her in the teeth. Pyre has incredible luck. She has survived years on the cold mean streets, come back from terrible injuries, and been largely spared the worst of the more rampant racism of decades past. Am I contradicting myself... perhaps but maybe not for all of our unfortunate heroine's strengths stem from her greatest misfortunes and weaknesses. Small size, unrelenting self criticism, perfectionist's eye for detail and long history of bodily harm are strange powers to boast but in an ever shifting world of magic and strife any advantage must be coveted. Listen in as a traumatised teenager tries her very best to recount her experiences as she lived them. Featuring non humans as the main cast, a fantasy/steampunk setting, a soft magic setting that grants hard magic abilities, and regular people trying their best in a world that is often hostile.
