Amira Seven is a war orphan and a hybrid of two warring races living on a strange planet that is very different from the one her ancestors came from all those years ago.    Life hasn't been easy, and in her estimation it will only get worse. The announcement of a peace treaty and the end of the long war has opened doors for her and all seems well.    Until she is forced to attend the flight academy, a prestigious institution for the offspring of the war angels, the elite fighting force that is earths main defence against alien enemies.   She comes to a startling realisation that even with the wars end there is no place for someone like her. She thought she knew how to survive the slums of Tyreen, but she has never seen anything like the halls of the academy and the cruelty the upper class are capable of.   While she tries to rediscover herself in a violent environment an insidious enemy awakens in the dark bowels of the galaxy, Amira Seven doesn't it yet, but she was born to save the world.    That is, of course, if her world don't kill her first.
