With a single stomp of her foot, the surroundings froze instantly. Spiky icicles stuck out sharply from all surfaces without the slightest gap to dodge. The sharpness was incredible, even iron was easily pierced by it.

To avoid the ice, Emily threw her sword up then she jumped and stood on the sword that she had set flying.
As if trying to catch up with her, the Ice Princess' sharp icicles rose higher and higher, following the Ice Princess' flying height. Emily controlled the flight of her sword to avoid all the ice stabs from below. But as if there was no limit to what her ice magic could accomplish, the sharp icicles continued to taper and chase after her.
Emily chuckled in annoyance. What a hassle.
While watching her surroundings and looking for the right route, Emily flew as fast as she could towards the Ice Princess. And true to her expectation, the sharp ice stopped following her after she reached a certain distance. Because after all, those icicles could still hurt the user. Well, if it was her, she wouldn't care about getting hurt and utilize her immortality. But the Ice Princess didn't know that her body was immortal. And she definitely didn't want to get hurt either.
The Ice Princess did not run out of tricks. She brought up tons of bluish-black holes in the air behind her. From those hundreds of holes, thousands of sharp ice needles were shot out with a relatively small distance from each other which made it even harder to avoid.

The Ice Princess managed to make Emily stop flying towards her and played defensively. Swiftly, Emily drew a magic circle in the air.
