Synopsis
I was never a great man by nature. I lived a normal life, surviving with profits I made from transporting goods through a wagon. I had often wondered what it would've been like to fight and earn like the soldiers of the city do, but after a while, nothing mattered to me other than the smile of my daughter. Brida; I think of her now, stuck in front of the gates of the village, waiting for the army of the North to march over us. Many of the villagers stand by my side with pitchforks and sticks, each with a family of their own. The enemy approaches.
'First the rumbling, then the horses trampling over us; was I not dead a moment ago? And if I was not, what were these visions?', These were my thoughts during the first time. And then it happened again. As destiny has it, today is the day I fight.
