We are all fragments of time, lost in the folds of history. Yet, even as we strive to find our place in this vast expanse, we cannot help but wonder: what is the true purpose of our existence? What do you think? Does what you do every day your whole purpose from starting? Oh! if not, then what is the point of doing this? Is survival the ultimate goal?
Ray pedaled his bike slowly, lost in thought as he rode away from his high school. The past four years had been a blur, filled with endless hours of studying, laughter, and the occasional drama. But now, it is all over.
As he rode, he couldn't help but think about Anya. She was his high school sweetheart, and he loved her more than anything in the world. He had always been reserved about his feelings, but he knew that he needed to tell her how he felt before they parted ways.
Anya had asked him to meet her at the park that evening, and he is both nervous and excited. He wondered what she had to tell him, and if she felt the same way he did. He is lost in his thoughts when he suddenly realizes he has arrived at the park.
Anya is already waiting for him, and she looked stunning in the evening light. They talked for what seemed like hours, and Ray poured out his heart to her. He confessed his love and apologized for not expressing it sooner. Anya listened intently, and when Ray was finished, she told him how she felt as well.
After they said their goodbyes, Ray couldn't wait to share the news with his friends and family. He took a photo of himself in front of his high school, captioned it "Finally relieved," and posted it on Instagram.
But before he went home, he had one more thing to do. He had bought a ring for Anya, and he slipped it into her school bag without her noticing. He knew it was risky, but he wanted her to know how much she meant to him.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
As he paddled away from the park, Ray felt a sense of peace over him. He knew that his future with Anya was uncertain, but he felt hopeful and excited about what was to come.
Ray is cycling home after meeting Anya at the park. The sky was clear when he left, the sun had set, but the sky still held a faint orange glow. He is lost in his thoughts, replaying the moments he had spent with her. Suddenly, it turned dark and stormy and a strong gust of wind hit him, and he braced himself for the storm that is brewing. Ray tried to pedal faster, but the wind was against him and the storm was like no other he had experienced before. Suddenly, he saw a bright light coming from a stone on the side of the road, the strong wind pushed him toward the stone. He fell from the cycle and was sucked into a portal that opened from the stone.
As Ray opens his eyes, he is momentarily blinded by the bright sunlight that is shining directly into his face. As he adjusted his eyes to the light, he looked around and found himself in the middle of a vast, grassy plain, with mountains in the distance and a clear blue sky overhead. The air was fresh and pure, and the grass beneath his feet was soft and springy.
As he took in his surroundings, Ray realized a Jeholornis ( A small, feathered bird that lived during the Early Cretaceous period and had a mix of primitive and modern bird features.) and so he also realized that he had been transported to a completely different world, a world that was primitive and untouched by modern civilization. The landscape is unlike anything he had ever seen before, with rolling hills covered in lush greenery and tall trees stretching up towards the sky. The air is filled with the sound of birds chirping and the rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze.
Despite the beauty of his surroundings, Ray couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He is completely alone, in a world that is unfamiliar and unknown to him. The absence of any signs of human life made him wonder if he was the only person there.
He suddenly heard a rustling sound behind him as he stood there, taking it all in. Turning around, he saw six other teenagers standing a short distance away, looking just as bewildered as he was. It is then that Ray realizes he is not alone, and that they are all in this together.
Ray starts walking towards them.
