My first story on royal road. This story centers around two people in a custom setting. Alterra, a place of a lot of things. Two aspects of the setting will likely be focused on here, though I'll probably make some stories with other foci, I hope this one is at least OK. Those two aspects are Thaumaturgy, and the Fae.  The Fae stir in their labyrinth, preparing to reach across the Maze of Many Worlds that separates them from man. An average person with an ancient bloodline gets sucked up into the conflict.
