A hard-working, average college student, wanting nothing more than to figure out their purpose in life, unexpectedly dies in a tragic and humiliating way. By falling down the stairs! The only catch, they are now an elven princess! While acclimating to her new body is relatively easy—since the memories and personality of her past self are fragmented and only realized after her brain is capable of remembering—her role as the third princess of the kingdom of Ithorel is not. Being a royal is hard work. She’ll have to attend balls, ceremonies, festivals, and religious events, recognize and support the military, talk and listen to the people of her nation, and tour the land, all while learning new skills and performing her duties admirably. Thankfully, her family is loving and caring, and having siblings is great, especially when they're famous and popular! Although living up to her family’s name and adjusting to their longstanding military and civic traditions will take some time. In a world spiraling towards war and revolution, Elaeja will have to choose her path in this Victorian-Esque world. Through a prestigious academy, assassination attempts, nobles, separatists, and a world war, she will begin to decide for herself what her purpose in life is. This story is the first I’ve ever written for an audience other than a teacher or professor. Any and all constructive criticism is much appreciated and desired!
