If the Girdle fails, then Baelar's minions can breach the protection of the enchantment that has so far, held them at bay.They can then overrun the land, and destroy their main target... the one who is called "The Golden Child"... the Granddaughter of The Lord Guardian of The Light... Eldamar. It has long been prophesied that "The Golden Child" will bring the aspirations of Baelar to ruin. Another young, female Guardian... Beshlie of Calverstock, will have a hand in this ruination, and Baelar is aware of this. He therefore creates an evil counterpart... the False Beshlie, who is mandated to lure the "Golden Child" to her death.
