The Sun Rock Incident was a product of wild misunderstandings between those involved over a planet with an incredible resource: solarium, or sun rocks as humans call them. It turns out, humans are so alien to aliens who have never even known of mammals that their minds try to make sense of them using the familiar; worsening an already bad situation. Part 1 involves a certain race that has a strange and likely overwrought way of creating social and military ranking hierarchy. Each race updated its ship naming conventions when its people took to the stars. There a lot of names here but most of them for Kaytibid other than Moz'toe or Yohargay are just to give a sense of them having a crew and making it easier for the author to keep track of what is going on.
