Synopsis
Four long years have passed since Oudin, patriarch of House Prodestian, claimed the title of Lord-King, granting him unprotested sovereignty over the nine kingdoms of Iovar. For twenty nine years, Lord-King Oudin has wisely and justly ruled the realms, earning the favor of both his people and the other monarchs.
Yet, peace is inevitably a finite state. The sixth Royal Gamble is nigh, marking the thirtieth anniversary of the downfall of the tyrannical Magneus Torzet. Conflict rears its ugly head in Iovar once more as a series of untimely and inexplicable, yet seemingly related events turns the once allied houses against one another. Tensions rise throughout the land as the long awaited Royal Gamble draws nearer and nearer, and the people impatiently wait for the battlefield to decide who their next Lord-King shall be. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the monarchs of Iovar, the surviving men of House Torzet bide their time, plotting their vengeful return in the shadows of the isle known as Pendragon.
No man, regardless of blood, rank, wealth, or power is safe from the coming strife of Iovar.
