Following Earth’s colonization by a superior alien race, a lost sapien pet navigates a post-apocalyptic landscape in a quest to rejoin her family. Bred from artificially created hominoid parents, Kanzu and her family live in relative peace on an Earth now dominated by their giant Lorian masters.  However, unlike her comfortable family, Kanzu yearns for more than just being a household pet. One night, Kanzu and her unwitting brother flee their virtual, gilded cage by stealing the family’s alien aircraft.  However, she quickly loses control mid-flight, forcing them to escape in separate ejection pods.  After washing ashore on unfamiliar soil, Kanzu traverses an unfamiliar - and unforgiving - South Pacific landscape in hopes of finding her lost brother. A follow up to The Greater Union (2021), THE STRAYS is my second novel in the Inhumane saga which explores Earth’s adaptation to an intergalactic species with a hubris rivaled only by an endangered humanity.
