As portals appear on Earth and vomit hordes of bloodthirsty monsters, some Humans find themselves teleported to a mysterious Tower where each floor is a deadly ordeal. The height of absurdity: a mysterious System seems to modify the usual physics to transform the world into a kind of video game where everyone has numerical characteristics and can gain "XP" by killing monsters, to then increase in power thanks to "levels". This story does not focus on the traditional cheated heroes of this kind of novels, but on a completely secondary character who would remain an element of scenery in the story of these heroes. He has no exceptional skills, no extraordinary intelligence, no special luck, no plot armor, no cheat or destiny: it is the story of a completely ordinary background character.
