Synopsis
When Alice Kinley's aunt dies, life has decided it's time for her to move on from her failed marriage and return to summer nights she'd left behind when she'd visit.
Familiar faces turn up, but the relationships have shifted: Sam, the lanky quiet friend has grown up, and his older brother Aidan has grown rich. An unspoken rift between them finds Alice torn between the two people who know more than they're telling her.
As she packs up the house, she uncovers a supernatural secret and a path she can't navigate without both Sam and Aidan. It uncovers a fate that will propel forward her stagnant life, but she must first learn why going back is sometimes the only way forward.
