At the dawn of time, existence was divided into two opposing realms, one forged of shadow and the other of light.The realm of shadows was named the material universe, while the realm of light was called the spiritual universe. Due to the differences in their essences, these two realms were made inaccessible to one another through Glarnias, a dimension known as the Dusken Belt. Yet, in the infinity of time, unknown forces weakened Glarnias, making the boundaries between the realms more fragile. This event ignited a war between the demons of shadow and the angels of light, a conflict that would rage on for ages to come.As a result of countless battles, the realms were driven toward absolute destruction. Great sacrifices born of great sins averted the ultimate annihilation. However, the consequences were dire, and the Naia, a race of angels who once served the light, were exiled from the spiritual realm to the material realm. As atonement for their sins, their struggle against the darkness in the material realm was not in vain, and thus began their journey toward redemption. Their heroics and sorrows would be told in The Song of Shadow and Light.
