“If the world were made of glass, it’d be shattered.” Pummeled by dust and decay, humanity looks back upon what has been left behind, resting safely in the assurance that they know what it is to be human; or, at least, that’s what they’re taught. Twelve androids centered around core human foundations hold dominion over the shadow of a decadent New York. Mankind no longer needs to progress, or move forward: now they look back, under the guidance of the Twelve Elders. Through commemoration of everything, creativity is destroyed, and ingenuity is squandered. In this story of ambiguous conquest, an android wars with the remnants of mankind as he struggles to teach his own core foundation: how to forget. If he can’t teach humanity how to forget, he would have to force them to come to their own conclusions; one Elder at a time.
