Subject-01 was a boy born to a pair of corporate drones, people who spent their entire lives living and working for a Mega-Corporation.  Tested out as an Esper as an infant, his parents sold him to the corporation.  Used as a test subject for unethical and outright illegal research, Subject-01 never knew anything outside of his 'purpose' in the corporation. At least until his Esper ability 'awoken'.  From that point forward, his dreams of freedom instead turned to purpose, and he sets about putting in place a scheme that'd earn him his freedom as well as payback.  But outside the steel walls of the facility built inside the moon Rhea in Saturn orbit, he finds that not everything is a bright and peaceful as it should be. The solar system is rife with politics, intrique, and cruelty.  The lives and rights of the common man mean nothing in the power of Mega-Corporations or the solar system-wide government known as the Solar Defense Force.  Learning a terrible secret kept long hidden by the ruling class and without any other options, Subject-01 is forced to embark on becoming the greatest villain the human race has ever known; if only to save everyone from themselves.     Hello everyone!  It's been a while, and I apologize for my long absence.  Things have been crazy, but I'm not going to get into that.  Instead, I'm bringing to you all a new story, which I'm just now getting my whole mind wrapped around. I started the first chapter only a couple of days ago, and finally finished it tonight after getting a bit more inspiration.  I hope you enjoy it!  Unlike my other stories however this one is not in the LitRPG genre, although it does have virtual-reality.  Game worlds are not the premise of this story though, so sorry to burst your bubbles on that one.
