The world is consumed in an eternal war of idealistic genoicide by the forces of Light and Darkness. The Light  granted with righteous power and the Darkness suffused with mortal desire vie to be rid of the other. It is through the Silver Lining that they are held back and it is through the Silver Lining that the world is saved.
