All that changes when he meets Ithrey Valeo, a captured general who claims a young woman claiming to be the Endowed is trapped in a siege on the very planet Perelor fights on. They might be able to help the Endowed — but that would not only mean escaping their enslavers, but finding a way out of the siege.
