Catarina has spent her whole life roaming the world with a troupe of traveling musicians and entertainers, but a chance encounter with a handsome yet irritating stranger sends her life into an unexpected direction. Now she finds herself stuck in an unfamiliar world of aristocracy and secrecy, having to navigate the intricacies of this new, stationary life while being subject to the whims of an antagonistic monarch with an explicit interest in tormenting her. At least it's only for six months, right?  Surely she can survive that long... Sort of enemies-to-lovers, but the animosity is entirely on the protagonist's side. Love interest is a non-human (reptilian) character, so if you're not into that maybe give this one a pass :)
