Edward had given up hope to even fight back as he finally realised that his devices and artillery were useless when the opponent’s armor and strength was completely outclassing both of them, and just stood there. Abel slowly started approaching him, and raised his zweihander high up in the air, then swung down.
Edward closed his eyes but heard a loud clang sound. As he opened his eyes he saw a glaive above him, and saw Lionel next to him, saving his life without a single inch of struggle. “Ludwig said to stall them not kill them, thankfully they aren’t injured too far to the point where genuine medical support is needed and not a normal Rejuvizym. But be careful, but what I find strange, is why not express the fact that they wanted Satoya, but I assume that's just his way of saying this.” Lionel sighed as Abel raised the zweihander backup and placed it on his back.
Lionel turned around and saw Satoya and Ludwig walking toward them, Satoya looking around, finding his unconscious friends along the way, eventually seeing Johnathan and Isaac who were incapacitated by a large piece of rubble. “Mind helping?” Isaac asked as he was barely making the rubble go upward but was simply too heavy. Ludwig conjured up his sword and stabbed the piece of rubble, breaking it into pieces instantly, freeing him, while doing the same to Johnathan.

“Satoya, I'm glad you're fine but how’d you two not get into a fight?” Rayna asked as she was clutching her stomach where Abel kicked, Sakonori was slowly walking to them with her head covered in blood, “I might pass out, help?” She asked before Lionel tossed a gourd. “What is this?” She asked again, Lionel shook his head, before sighing “I couldn’t find another bottle so I just put a drinkable form of Rejuvizym inside it.” Sakonori drank out of the gourd before she mumbled “yuck.”
“So are we going to the 2nd capital?” Rayna asked Ludwig, “Yes you guys are, I unfortunately have to stay and investigate other stuff.” Ludwig said, but he opened a gate for them as a shortcut.
As they walked through, they found themselves in the middle of an empty city, “Ludwig, this looks too vacant, are you sure-” Satoya asked before he realised that the gate they went through was sealed, not closed, but sealed by a mysterious runic symbol. On the other side, Ludwig was in a state of confusion, “that’s odd, I can’t close it, and what is this runic symbol?”
